My name is Ottilie.

I fell in love with massage therapy after receiving my first treatment as a gift aged 16, and knew from that afternoon onwards that I wanted to offer this magic of thoughtful touch to others.

My intention always is to create a calm, inclusive space for you to rest, recover and feel a little more connected to yourself. I do this by taking a holistic approach, meaning treatments with me are created together and consider your physical, mental and emotional well-being as needed. All bodies are unique, we all use and relate to our bodies in different ways, and massage can feel very different from one session to the next. One week we may be releasing long held muscular tension, and the next encouraging your nervous system to settle from a current stress.

Above all, I am drawn to the healing found in the subtle, the slow and in the trust and communication that grows between therapist and client.

I trained with the Massage Training Institute in Norwich, where I developed a strong grounding in holistic massage and anatomy, and experienced much personal growth - I was a shy child and absolutely am a sensitive person. Through this work I now find such power in sensitivity. I have since lived and worked for 5 years in Bristol, where I developed my massage toolkit through further training courses, as well as being endlessly inspired by my fellow therapists and the treatments I receive. A lasting influence on me and the way I work are the treatments I received while travelling South-East Asia.

I am acutely aware that we are living in times that are troubling and complex for so many reasons. It can feel hard to know where wellness and self-care fits into all of this, when we are feeling the weight of the world around us financially, politically and ecologically. I like to believe that perhaps massage therapy can offer people a moment to set down that weight, be cared for and recognise that taking care of ourselves can increase our capacity to care for the world and others.

I look forward to welcoming you to rest.
